Kudos to McCarten for his courage in fighting the big C, but the statement you highlight is a lie.
McCarten is a far left extremist who writes from that perspective.
The statement implies McCarten is an objective critic. He isn't. None of us are.
As much as I detest McCarten's politics, I wouldn't wish his health woes on anyone.
