I've been working stints in Christchurch a bit and a short drive down Manchester St on the way to the office is the norm (the one way system limits options). I'm no prude but find the in your face hookers at all times of day and night pretty unpleasant. Some appear drunk/drugged and many are shabby to look at. Classy its not but I guess reducing a woman to a bit of meat doesn't lead to great expectations. Being hidden would be nicer for me - if you want to act like that you should have to seek it out rather than have it offerred on the roadside.
