Obama was a triumph of airhead sloganeering over principle and philosophy. He was painted as different, when he was simply a leftwing Democrat who left it all to the Congress. Promising "change" without saying what to, was so empty it showed how easily people were wooed by nothing at all.
The Tea Party has truly promised change and said what it is about - but gridlock will mean Obama will simply be stopped in his tracks.
Oh and anyone who thinks this is back to Bush is an imbecile. Bush was a big spender as well, Obama lite. The Tea Party repudiated the big spending politics of both major parties.
